A1502 Macbook Pro Trackpad Not Responding Repair Process
Repair of the trackpad usually goes two w or a failed ribbon cableays. It is either a failed truid damage or a failed ribbon cable.
The trackpad cable is a thin ribbon cable as thick as printer paper. Over the years dust and small debris goes under the Macbook cover and damage the cable.
Replacing A1502 Macbook Pro Trackpad Cable
Luckily, unlike 15 models. these trackpad cables run over the battery and no need to remove the battery to access and replace the trackpad cable.
Extra steps to future-proof the replacement trackpad cable
Replacing the cable is straightforward, but we also want to ensure that the new trackpad cable won’t erode quickly. Hence we opt-in to install slightly ticker rubber bands around the trackpad cable. This will ensure that the new trackpad cable won’t get squashed by the constant usage. And will not follow the fate of its predecessor.
