Laptop Touch Screen Replacement
Touch Screens consists of two layers. First layer is a touch digitizer, and second layer is the LCD panel. Regardless if only the touch area is cracked, we need to replace complete screen assembly.
How to know which screen to fit?
Simply knowing the model number of the laptop is not enough.
Each laptop screen has its part number located inside of the top case on a sticker behind the screen. This part number indicates resolution, refresh rate, connection method and quality of the screen.
To know the exact cost and availability of the screen, we need to take the laptop apart and get the part number. Once we have the part number we can check if our local supplier has the part. If they do should be replaced within a day or two.
If local suppliers in SA doesn’t have the screen, than we need to order from interstate (1 week) or internationally (3-4 weeks)
