• My MacBook's LogicBoard had died on me for no apparent reason.I took it in to see if it could be … More repaired and was given a full comprehensive look and tour of the insides of my device to show me what the actual problem was and why it was no longer working. That was the coolest part, the be shown the insides of a MacBook and shown what does what and how the whole device is put together.Throughout the repair I received updates and images explaining what issues there were and what would need to happen to fix it.Unfortunately, for me to get the device fixed was going to take too long (over 2 months due to parts needing to be ordered from OS) and there was no guarantee that what we did would actually work due to the age and type of MacBook. BUT I was able to get ALL of my data retrieved which was the most important thing for me.I got my device recycled here and all of the internal data was destroyed so I know it won't go anywhere else.Thanks for the help, even though we weren't able to fix the computer, I managed to get the data back and now have a better understanding of how Apple makes their products and how to avoid any stress like this again in the future!

• When all is lost - Gunay to the rescue!My MacBook (pro, 2018, touchbar) suddenly turned off after a random … More ‘click’ and it would not turn back on. This was completely random, there was no food or water spillage, and battery was fully charged. I’m also an oompa who only backed up half her thesis…Gunay is very knowledgable and meticulous. He was able to isolate the affected area in the logic board, identify the damaged chip and repair it. Thesis saved!!In addition to his life-saving work, his customer service is excellent - he spent the time to go through my options in each case scenario and answered all my questions (I had a lot of them).My experience with Apple before the repair:I had initially planned to buy an SSD enclosure to remove the SSD from my MacBook, as the data was most important to me. Turns out, from 2018, Apple started soldering the SSDs into the logic board, making them no longer removable (or self-upgradable). This was to increase their profits.When I contacted Apple, they were also not helpful - I asked the online support a straightforward question about what my options might be if their diagnostics determine that my Macbook’s logic board is broken, and whether logic boards are repairable - they repeatedly dodged my question. Turns out, Apple will never do a logic board repair, and will tell you that you need to buy a new laptop (i.e. all your data is lost and they maximise profits).
